Collection: Green Tea

All of our green tea comes from Japan or China. Generally, Japanese green tea is steamed rather than pan-fried like in China.

Japanese green tea is different from Chinese green tea because of the location, weather, and soil conditions. Japanese tea plantations are no more than 70 miles away from the ocean, contributing to the marine/oceanic aroma and flavor.

Chinese green tea is grown throughout China. Some of the green tea is grown near the ocean, in the lowlands, and even on mountain slopes. The climate, weather, and soil conditions all contribute to the flavor and aroma profile of Chinese green teas.
